Pel que hom pot recordar, el membres de diversos 'gremis' de caçadors de rates que apareixen en qualsevol gran ciutat tenen la peculiar pràctica de decolorar-se el cabell amb llima fins que agafa un pàl·lid to blavós. És un fet molt valent, ja que la seva professió sovint és veu immersa en assumptes poc legals. Els lladres tenen moltes habilitats i, per necessitat, són ràpids i destres amb el punyal. No tenen cap objecció en jugar brut en el combat, mostrant poc interès per una 'lluita neta'.
